My body has changed significantly since working with Greg. I feel leaner, stronger, and clothes are fitting too loose now. I have much less aching of hips and tightness of muscles. My chronic back and hip pain I have been dealing with is finally starting to not be an issue! Prior to hurting my hamstring, I ran for 3 miles straight without any pain! I hadn’t been able to do that in over 3 years!

Weight loss wasn’t my top priority, but I have lost 14lb since we started. I was proud of the confidence I had in my body at the beach, where we vacationed for Christmas, and I actually wore a bikini for the first time in over a decade! I surprised myself that even as I approach 50, I can feel happy and strong in my own body!

Since we started working together, I am sleeping better now, I have way more energy throughout the day, and I feel that I’m recovering well from my workouts. I’m amazed at how much progress I’ve made in just over three months. I feel like a totally different person.

Even though I hurt my hamstring, and we are working to recover from that, I’m very proud to be getting stronger. Your support has been enormously helpful to focus on what I can do and keep moving forward. So I’m really proud of hanging in there and making progress both with the hamstring and other strength. I couldn’t have done any of that on my own.

I finally feel that I have the right program for me, taking in all aspects of my life that will help me get back to trail running, skiing, and biking without having to deal with this chronic pain. I always felt like I would make progress for a few months and then get hit with some nagging pain or injury. I don’t want to be a regular at the PT clinic anymore and looking forward to our continued work together.

Working with you has exceeded my expectations. The wholistic approach is really working for me. I like how you take the big picture of everything that’s going on in my life and connecting the dots with the pain I’m experiencing, as well as how I’m feeling and performing. I have never made this kind of progress before in combination with nutrition, strength, recovery and stress management. It feels sustainable and I feel supported every step of the way.

When I first started working with Greg in July, I was very frustrated with not being able to walk due to a bulging disc pinching my sciatic nerve. I was feeling hopeless at the thought of "just giving it time". I couldn’t carry out basic daily functions such as getting dressed or putting on shoes. The thought of not being able to do my job well in the Fall (teacher) was also an added stress. I was missing out on family time and summer activities which would bring me to tears.

At the start, I needed help getting in and out of bed, would often sleep on the couch, could barely get in and out of the car, and carrying out daily functions such dressing myself, was exhausting. I often would get "zingers" down my leg which were debilitating. I couldn’t even lift a water can to water plants or bend over to turn on the water spicket. I couldn’t enjoy summer pleasures such as hiking, walking on the beach, kayaking or boating with my husband.

By working with Greg I felt like I was moving forward and making an effort towards progress each day. Greg would coach me through different movements and exercises and by the end of our sessions I always exceeded what I thought I could do! He individualized my program each session based on what I could do that day and how my back was feeling.

Greg always challenged me to push myself within what I was capable of even when I was in pain. He is very honest, asks thoughtful questions to reflect on, and challenges me to be better in all aspects. I believe Greg's knowledge and understanding of mind, body and nutrition helped me recover faster than if I would have just given "time" to get better, and I am stronger than before my injury. I believe that by building muscle and strengthening my core I am preventing injury while becoming stronger and more fit so that I can enjoy life.

I knew after the first session that working with Greg was the right decision. I walked out doing more than when I came in that day. Every session I would leave having accomplished more than the last.

I feel stronger, healthier and even smarter about food choices. I have learned a lot but most importantly to make time to stay healthy...without our health we can't enjoy anything else. I have now made training with Greg a priority. I always look forward to accomplishing more as we continue to work together and not having my back being a limiting factor!

"I’m definitely feeling stronger and my stress levels are much lower since working with Greg.

Greg has helped me to improve my eating and I’m making conscious choices when it comes to food. I’m not forgetting to eat and I am making an effort to plan meals ahead of time and not grabbing what’s easy which is what I always use to do. He has given me tons of information to absorb and digest and have learned a lot about food and how it effects my body.

The workouts are definitely getting challenging me, but definitely within my capabilities. You know how to push me at just the right time and in the right amounts. Greg makes the workouts specifically for me and my goals and knows how to adjust them so I continually see progress. I never thought I’d say this, but working out is something I truly am enjoying and look forward to!

"I was struggling to lose the 30 pounds I’d gained after switching to a desk job. I felt uncomfortable in my body, and running 10 km or even 5 km multiple times a week, like I used to, wasn’t realistic anymore. I was eating too many sweets and needed someone to keep me accountable and know what foods I should be eating. It was frustrating because I knew how my old self was and just wasn’t sure how to get my body back again. For over a year I felt frustrated and uncomfortable in my own skin.

It’s bittersweet because I’ve had to minimize many of the high-calorie foods I used to love like ice-cream, but I haven’t had to cut them out completely!

"I feel like this is the most successful coaching experience I've ever had. My first training/coaching experience was 12 years ago and I have learned so much from you.

Everything has been tailored to meet my needs. That goes for my physical needs as well as my current home gym setup, if I am not feeling great, if I need more food, etc. It is all personalized. Our communication is great and I feel like I am pushing myself more at the right times than I have before with online coaching, due in part to having really fun workouts and because I physically feel great (even as a mom of 3 😅). I have less joint pain, better sleep, and a lot less anxiety!

"I’ve really enjoyed working with Greg these past 4 months! Going from knowing nothing to building a good foundation for weight training and living a more active lifestyle is the best thing I could have done for myself.

Some of the changes I’ve noticed are the toning up and slimming down in my waist and chest. I also have more definition in my legs, butt, and arms and can tell I’m getting stronger along with the weights going up constantly in the gym.

Since working with Greg, my sleep has improved dramatically. I fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer without waking up Intermittently throughout the night. I finally wake up feeling rested and focused and I think it’s been the combination of working out, improving my eating, and learning to manage the stress in my life better.

"You were the most attentive coach I’ve ever had, which I really appreciate and feel like it makes it worth the value. You always made sure to check in with me often, you helped keep me accountable and stick to my goals because I knew you were actually paying attention to the foods I was logging and macros I was hitting as well as my work outs and other habits. You never made me feel bad if I wasn’t able to stick 100% to my macros and helped me have a balance with life and fitness so I never felt deprived but was also able to get closer to my goals. I felt like I was able to come to you if I had any questions with nutrition or my works out and I loved that you were able to make me an at home work out plan using the equipment I have. I appreciate you raising my calories and macros slowly so I didn’t have too much fat gain and actually got more defined while having a higher caloric intake!

"I really liked the personalized training I received from Greg. He put a lot of thought into the programming using various exercises from free weights to cable weights. I was always a challenge (with my aches and pains as a 59 year old) and Greg definitely designed my program with consideration to my shoulder and my knees. "I’ve been a nutrition client of Greg’s since last November so just over six months. I’m a nutrition coach myself and did that for a while so I know what it looks like to help people with their nutrition. I also know what it looks like from a client perspective as well because I’ve done nutrition coaching with other companies. Really what I was looking for from Greg was just to shed a couple of pounds. I had done an intentional bulk a year or so prior, but I had never been able to lose the bulk I put on and get back down to where I was comfortable. I just needed someone to hold me accountable.

I thought I wouldn’t be a needy client and turns out, I am, but Greg has been wonderful about it. He texts me encouragement all the time and his process of checking in weekly and then doing zoom calls is so wonderful and marvelous. It makes me feel like he really does care. He’s an amazing coach. I have lost weight, but I’ve also gained a lot of knowledge about what I should be feeling my body with and right now we’re in a maintenance phase at my new weight, which is really exciting because I’ve never been able to successfully do this. What really stands out about Greg from other coaches is how supportive and how hands-on his coaching is and the attention that he gives. I know that he does truly care. "Before starting my nutrition coaching with Greg, my health and diet was pretty poor. I had a horrible soda problem I would drink three up to five a day. I ate a lot of frozen pizza and fast food late at night. I work long late hours and my diet was the lowest priority for me at that time. I got to a point where I realized I had drifted so far away from a healthy lifestyle and needed help to get back on track. That’s when I started working with Greg.

One of the first things Greg helped me realize was how much drinking calories (specifically soda) can be. With Greg’s guidance, I decided to cut out soda and fast food and began to see the weight drop off fast. After ~6 weeks of just focusing on food quality and losing 15lb we started to dial in my nutrition even more by focusing on macros. Even though I didn’t stick to it that well I still was seeing results! Greg also had me start eating MORE calories and I LOST weight. That was surprising! Starting to track macros, I realized I was consuming a ton of carbs and fats and very minimal protein. As soon as he switched things around, I started getting stronger in the gym and lost even more weight. I was also feeling better overall, having more energy, sleeping better, and being able to actually get outdoors and hike/scout for hunting season.

I use to dread standing on the scale, but now I actually am excited about weighing in. I know the coaching Greg is providing will get me results and I trust him 100%. I am still my hardest critic if the numbers don’t move like I expect but Greg is the first one to put expectations on weight loss and a reality check. He helps me see how far I’ve come and that I won’t always see movement on the scale. Sometimes its 2 weeks before anything changes, but then the scale moves and it fires me up.

I have a history and still this mindset of crash dieting and going overboard with training to achieve weight loss. It was never sustainable. However, each time I have that thought in my head, Greg would tell me how bad of an idea it is for my body and overall health and longevity and I trust his experience and it hasn’t let me down!

I personally like that Greg won't sugar coat things. If I want to do something and he knows it isn't in my best interest or not going to help he will tell me and explains why. With my personality I need someone to tell me, “no that's dumb” and this is why and after working with Greg for five months I trust him wholeheartedly.
